Guardian Home Program

I am often looking for fabulous families to be a part of my Guardian Family program at Chase Creek. This program allows me to expand my breeding stock, while giving a family an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful Labradoodle at a greatly reduced price. This also enables each puppy/dog to belong to a loving and caring family that can provide undivided attention to them, making them very happy Labradoodles.

How It Works

You pick-up your puppy I have selected to be apart of my breeding program at Chase Creek at around 8-9 weeks of age. The puppy will be co-owned by Chase Creek Labradoodles. Once your puppy has passed health testing and is able to be apart of my breeding program, Chase Creek will have breeding rights, once per year for females and possibly more often for males. The guardian family is under a contract with certain requirements.

Some Basic Prerequisites to Qualify for Approval

  1. Willingness to feed top quality food recommended by breeder.

  2. The puppy must attend early-obedience training at expense of guardian home.

  3. The primary caregiver cannot work full-time outside the home causing the puppy to be alone for long periods of time, unless arrangements can be made for someone to see to the puppy's needs mid-day.

  4. No other intact male dogs (not neutered) can be living on premises.

  5. For females: Must contact breeder once dog comes into heat.

  6. Guardian Home understands that they are responsible for all veterinarian (outside of health testing), all food, training, and grooming expenses that accrue.

On a mutually agreed upon time, the dog will be retired from breeding. It will be spayed/neutered and full ownership will be given to the guardian family.

For Female Breeding Dogs

A puppy is placed in an approved home at approximately 9-10 weeks to be raised and cared for as your family pet. Once the mature dog has completed and passed all health testing and goes into heat, the breeding dog would be returned to Chase Creek to be bred, then again to deliver and wean her babies before being returned back to the guardian family. This length of time is approximately 7-8 weeks. Once their breeding career is finished (approx 3-5 litters) she would be spayed at breeder's expense and returned to your family to live out her life as your family pet. At this time transfer of ownership papers would be signed over to you.

For Male Breeding Dogs

A puppy is placed in an approved home at approximately 9-10 weeks to be raised and cared for as your family pet. Once the mature dog has completed and passed all health testing, he would be ready for breeding. The dog would be required to stay with the breeder for up to one week when required for breeding. Once his breeding career is finished he would be neutered at breeder's expense and returned to your family to live out his life as your family pet. Stud dogs may have a longer breeding career to approximately 5 yrs of age. After breeding retirement, transfer of ownership papers would be signed over to you.

Guardian Families are chosen very carefully.

If you live in the mid Vancouver Island area and feel you would like to apply for my Guardian Family Program, apply and specify in the additional notes section at the end of the application.  If I feel you are a good candidate, I will arrange an interview and discuss terms. Some consideration will be given to families living further away with certain provisions.

I have no dogs or puppies to place in this program at this time.
